Senior Captain's Away Day - Skipton Golf Club

Oakdale Seniors were invited to join Seniors Captain Graham Whittington for his away day at Skipton Golf Club, Skipton will be joining the Harrogate Union this year and will also form part of our fixture list for 2024 so it was a chance for those golfers who have not played the course to test their game at this new venue.

The course was re designed in 2018 and proved a good test of golf for all abilities, we were also blessed with great weather and the course was in excellent condition

The players were separated by handicap into two divisions split between playing handicaps up to 18 and from 19 upwards and a separate trophy was played for in each division.

The First Division trophy was won by Laurence Turner with 35 points and the Second Division trophy was won by Roger Pygott with 33 points. 

Nearest the pin prize on the 16th was won by Graham Whittington  The nearest the pin in two shots on the 7th was won by Paul Dutton and Nearest the pin in two shots on the 18th was won by Brian Dexter

There was only one 2 recorded by Geoff Brown  

The competition was followed by a top quality two course meal, the presentations and a raffle.
