SENIORS SECTION INFORMATION

All gentlemen golfers at Oakdale Golf Club aged 55 or over are welcome to join, irrespective of age or handicap, upon payment of an annual subscription. Membership is only £3 a year and the Seniors Section is just the place for relaxed social golf with a bit of friendly competition.

The Section is run by a small committee of members, including a Captain and Vice-Captain, elected at an AGM in February or March. The Committee controls matches, organises competitions, arranges fixtures and maintains finances.

The Section organises various competitions throughout the year and a list of those competitions can be found by clicking on the Seniors Competitions and Seniors Fixtures links in the right hand column of this page.

Friendly, good value matches are arranged both at home and away against other clubs with attractive courses.  All matches are followed by a meal and a social drink with the opposition.

 All members will be given opportunities to play in these matches. Where matches are oversubscribed, we will do our best to balance out selections from fixture to fixture

A dedicated Seniors noticeboard in the larger (Visitors and Members) changing room on the ground floor has sign-up sheets and details of all Senior activities and members will also be kept informed by e-mail and occasional newsletters.
