Ladies Open - 2024 Rules

Please note this competition is only open to visitors, no Oakdale members are allowed to play
• Entry: £90 per team of 4

• Format: AMAM Stableford – 2 scores to count and all 4 on the 9th and 18th
• Tees: Red (Ladies Course Rating 72.4, Slope 134)
• Handicap Index Limit: 42.00
Players with a higher index may enter; Playing Handicap will be calculated using the maximum index.
• Handicap Allowance: 85%
• Entry is subject to all players having a valid current Handicap Index and having submitted a minimum of 6 qualifying scores in the 12 months prior to the day of the competition. Scores submitted for initial handicap allocation do not count towards these 6 scores.
• Teams with players that have not submitted the required number of qualifying scores may play in the competition, but are not eligible to win prizes.
• We only have a few Buggies available. Please pre-book through the Pro shop on 01423 567162 ext 1.
• If there are any changes to your team after making the booking, please send changes, including the new players CDH number to admin@oakdalegolfclub.co.uk so that we can update the start sheet and do a handicap check.

Eligibility;
Entry is open to females who are members of a golf club (or iGolf) and have a WHS Handicap Index. Maximum Handicap Index 42.0. Higher handicaps can enter but must play off HI of 42.

Entry Requirements and Dates:
Players must sign up for the competition through the Intelligent Golf (IG) competition and tee booking system. All CDH numbers must be supplied on entry. Team member names can be amended on the day.
Entry to the competition will be open from midnight on 28 July 2023. The competition entry fee will be paid on sign-up. The closing date is midnight the day before the competition.

Competition Format including Handicap Allowance:
This is an 18 Hole Am-Am Stableford competition. Two to count on all holes, with all four to count on the 9th and 18th. Play will be from the Red tees. Playing Handicap allowance will be 85% of Course Handicap.
Prizes will be issued in accordance with the Ladies section rules and will be posted to the lead booking name the day following the competition. Any winning team members still on the premises when the competition is closed will be given their vouchers in person.

On the Day of Play:
Players are required to visit the Registration Desk and agree their Handicap Indexes.
The Players Gross score for each hole must be recorded in the correct box. Team captains can decide if they then include the net score and points or just the points next to each gross score.

Scorecards must be agreed and signed by both the player and marker. Please check the gross scores are allocated to the correct player.

Scorecard must be handed in to the Registration Desk as soon as possible after finishing the round.

The usual rules on countback apply.

The Pace of Play Policy is in operation – a four ball should take no more than 4 hours 15 minutes for 18 holes (including a visit for refreshments at the halfway house)

Local Rules are on the scorecard. The starter will inform you of any Temporary Local Rules.

Results will be posted on the Club Website the following day.
